One of the staple names in the gaming smartphone industry is Black Shark. This gaming phone brand is among the ranks of Nubia, ASUS ROG, and Razer. The last time Black Shark released a phone, it was the Black Shark 5. This phone had everything – a 144 Hz AMOLED screen, 5G capability, a powerful Snapdragon 870 chipset, 12 GB’s of RAM, and a 120W fast charger.
It looks like the company is going to release another gaming phone (so soon, we know) in the third quarter of 2022, or anytime this coming July. This unnamed Black Shark gaming phone is rumoured to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+. In fact, a leaker has provided multiple key specs on the phone.
The phone will be continuing the tradition of speed and performance over resolution. The unnamed Black Shark will have a FHD+ display to provide better refresh rates. We should still expect that the new phone will have the 100W charging capability, but it would be a real treat if the manufacturers bumped up the capability to 150W or at least similar to what the realme GT Neo 3 has.
Digital Chat Station (Twitter: @chat_station) revealed that the phone will have a 4700mAh battery, a small improvement over the Black Shark 5’s 4650mAh battery, but an improvement nonetheless. If there was a downgrade, it would be the 100W charging speed, but that hardly matters since the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ shows improvements in energy efficiency.
